This is a figure in honor of Akashi Seijuro the leader of the generation of Miracles from the Kuroko no Basket series. Kuroko no basket or The basketball that Kuroko plays is a famaous sports anime series
that was very popular during its release back in 2012. The series had a huge success and somepoint the manga it self was among the top 3 behind the never ending One piece and Attack on Titan which blew Up in 2012.
The series focusses around the basketball school of Seirin, where the main protagonist Kuroko and his friend Kagami make a deal to become the number one team. However Kuroko informs him that the Generation of Miracles
scattered around and all five members will soon be playing on the rival teams. Generation of Miracles was a name given every set of years when players with exceptional skills appear in the sport. Teiko (Kuroko's former school)
was when five talented individuals signed up and never lost a single game. The leader Akashi, decided that it would ve been more fun for everyone if each member went on a different school after they graduate so that they can
meet on court again as rivals. The series has three seasons and a movie.
The figure was sculpted by Barok and it was published by Banpresto under the Master Star piece collection. Master Star piece is a series published by Banpresto that represents high quality figures.
The name suggests it for it self.Master represents the idea that only expert sculptures work on this line of figure, Star represents the idea that it takes iconic characters/heroes from popular
series and piece represents the product itself. This line of series as of now, only has two representatives from the Kuroko no basket series. The main character Kuroko and one of the most popular
rivals Akashi. The Kuroko figure was released in 2014 while Akashi was released in 2015 alongside the final season (Season 3) of the show.

The Figure
The figure is approximately 20 cm tall making it a large scale figured. It doesn't have a base beneath it so it's length goes as far as his shoulder gap in this case 7cm. Akashi from Kuroko has a split personality, his original self
and his unbeatable Persona. The original focusses on team play and brings out the best of every player, whereas the other persona is foccused on himself as he does not trust his teammates as much as he trusts himself. One is friendly
and chatty whilst the other is a leader and absolute. In both the anime and the manga, these two personalities are represented in his dialogue with his surrounders and more visually on his face. The normal Akashi has two red eyes and
his other half is represented with two different colored eyes. His left eye instead of red is an inbetween of orange and yellow.
The figure depictions Akashi's absolute personality and thus his eyes are of different color since his left eye it's none other than the Emperor Eye. The eyes are both colored heavily on top and lighetr near the end, the glowing
effect is also painted on both the eyes. The black pupils are known as cat shape, as these are the closest real life eye shape. His expression is dead serious and intimidating capturing the aura that his character
creates. The hair is painted red and it's combined with lighter red and shadowish red. Lighter on top and shadowy neat the bottom. Kuroko no basket characters do not have colored lips and thus Akashi's figure has The same lip color as
his body color. The neck is detailed it self as the bone structure is clear and shadowy. Through his t-shirt the bone structure of his chest can be seen.
On his main body, Akashi wears his basketbal shirt. His sleevless Jersey depictions the name alongside the color variation of his team. Since he studies in Rakuzan High his team is none other than Rakuzan. The name of Rakuzan is written
in the middle of the shirt,where the chest area is and its paint cyan. The number of his shirt is no4, that is used to indicate his team leader status. In Kuroko all the team captains wear the number 4 as an indication. The Number four is
placed in the front underneath the Rakuzan word in medium size, and in big in the center of the back. The number 4 is painted with dark blue. The joursey it self is white with a combination of sky blue on the shoulders and a few lines on
the sides. The neck colar, combines light blue with white and near the V it turns dark blue. the shirt has plenty of wavy effects showcasing realism. Akashis hands are well design and show his gym physique. He is not a body builder so he
doesn't have big arms but they re still hands of n athlete. the bone structure is nice and his hands are well design. Vains, nails and the hand lines are well design. The last thing available on his upper half is the basketball found on
his right hand. The coloring used on the basketball showcases that the ball is used. The touch of it feel realistic due to its bumbs. It's like a basketball ball got shrinked to fit the figure.
The shorts follow the same trend with the upper half. Color combinations of white and sky blue lines on the sides. Similar to the shirt, the shorts are also wavy on top, and less wavy near the knees. The legs similar to the arms are well
structured . Once again, they re not legs of a body builder but they re legs of an athlete. The muscle design of the knees and legs are well designed. On the bottom, Akashi wears white wavy socks and white basketball shows that have sky
blue lines on the sides. The design of the shoes is done with care as every part looks natural and realistic, from the sides to the front and the top. The shoe's tongue, toetap and laces have all been treated with care.
The figure has a supporter that is used to hug the left foot to keep it balanced.
The last part of the figure is Akashi's Jacket. The Jacket can be placed either on the back, on the left shoulder or on the side. (if the owner doesn't like it on top of him) Similar to the uniforms, being from Rakuzan it means the long sleeved
Jacket is colored white, with sky blue colored parts and dark blue stripes. On the back the word Rakuzan is written with dark blue, and has two Japanese characters that means _______ mountain. The jacket has silver buttons on the right and sky
blue openings. The jacket was design to show that wind is blowing to the opposite direction.
Overall, it's a very nice figure filled with plenty of details from top to bottom. The coloring usage was done right allowing for wavy effects and shadowing . The depiction of the character is very accurate and the figure overall does not require
much space to be stored. The box that has the figure itself, is not as large as the figure, as the legs come off Akashi.
