This is the diorama that was given alongside the TV edition of the Horror game Little Nightmares II. The Game was highly anticipated from the fans as the game's prequel Little Nigmares did extremely welland captivated many.
The Game was develpoed by Tarsier studios a small indie team who debuted with with a success. The projects IP was bought by Bandai Namco and the project expanded with a prequel of the first game very Little Nightnmares for mobile devices
and as mentioned above a sequel. The TV editioned consisted of :
The Escape Diorama
The Game
CD with the Games Audios
Stickers
Steelbook Case
Artbook including scratch out pieces of Tarsier
A diorama is a model representing a scene with three-dimensional figures, either in miniature or as a large-scale museum exhibit.Simply put is a figure with extra details in the background
and the base. This diorama includes:
Both Mono && Six
A television
Wooden floor
The diorama's sculptor is unknown, however it is safe to assume it was made by Tarsier studios themselves and it was published by Bandai Namco in early february 2021. The diorama is only available through the Tv edition of Little Nightmares II
which was available for all four platforms. Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and last but not least steam. NOTE For the switch version the game had a cartridge instead of a disc and for the computer verion it had a code containing the
game to be downloaded. The diorama is called The Escape and it represents a powerful scene within the game, Where the main Protagonist Mono tries with all his power to free and release his newly friend and last game's protagonist Six from
the thin Man by trying to pull her out of the Tv before the Thin Man returns.
The diorama is approximately 7,5 cm tall, 12 cm length and 5cm depth and it's made out of PVC .It comes in one piece, so there is no need to place anything anywhere. It should be mentioned that this diorama's size is quite small.
The main character in it is none other than Mono, the sequels protagonist. Mono is around 5 cm tall 6.5 cm long. He wears his iconic paper bag which seemed to have seen better days. He rocks his iconic brown coat which has an amazing
detail in terms of layers from the outside as the inside has nothing.Touching it's inside does not have different layers. The buttons and the collar are well design. However the same cannot be said about his trousers and his shirt.
They have an ammount of detail but not that obvious as the other parts. There are some details at it's button and the edges of the pants, and there are a few layers on the shirt BUT the coloring although there, it doesnt make it stand out.
Usually the paint has plenty of shadow effects in order to make other parts stand out. Mono's barehnds and barefeet are sculpted however they do not have as much detail as they could.
Mono is not the only character being depiction as the last game protagonist SIX also appears on the diorama. Six is 3 centimeters long and 3 cm tall. She wears the iconic yellow coat fans identify as part of Six's identity.
However, due to certain events in the game she got really dirty and thus the raincoat of the figured is covered with dirt. Six's face has always been a mystery among the fanbase. Nomatter how many times the players try to place the camera in
a location where the face would ve been available to see, there was never a clean picture. In other media such as the comics, art and the figure that came with the first game do not show her face clear. Nonethe less playing the first game and
even the second one, made Six's face is near impossible to see. As for this statue, once again he ace cannot be clearly seen. Her eyes are once again covered by a shadow effect but her hair mouth and nose are visible.
It's worth commenting that the hair have different layers making them feel more detail with good depth.
The figure for it's size has an amazing ammount of detail. The two heroes are depictioned very well but what about the environment. The base of the figure represents the wooden floor in the abadoned building that the Tv was located.
It's sculpture is really nice as you can feel that the wood is old and lined. The woods used are rusty, filled with cracks and bent nails. They re not by any means symmetrical as some parts exceed here and there. The coloring also
adds alot as they seemed dusty and damaged. Below the base it has the logo of the game alongside all the reserved rights. The base also has the wood that Mono uses for resistance and the Tv. The Tv it self is old and traditional.
It is thick and it has a wooden skeleton on the outside. The screen of the Tv is filled with the eyes, which is a major part of the game, and in general within the little Nighmares universe . The Tv is balanced on a wooden stand
whose 4 legs are bending showcasing that it is pretty much abadoned and that is been like that for a very long. Out of the Tv pops Six.
About the Series
Little Nightmares is an indie puzzle-platformer horror adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios and was published by Bandai Namco for all available consoles during it's release.
The game takes the players in a new horror universe that is now known as the Little Nightmares Universe. The game was originally called hunger, however the closer the release date got the more Trarsier thought about the title and they ended up
with little Nightmares. The game was a major hit. Upon its release the game earned an award in the indie category and it was nominated plenty of times through out the years. Moreover, the game's popularity and it's appeal with the fans allowed
the developers to expand the game by releasing three (3) DLC, a spinoff game for Android and Ios called Very Little Nightmares, digital and physical comics and a full on "sequel" called Little Nightmares 2 which was released in Fubruary 2021.
The games are extremely unique and tell their tales through imagery than using words and cutscenes.
